A lot of what went on here fit a typical pattern in which the severe symptoms I was experiencing were minimized and even called “delusions” – and this bizarre pattern where when doctors start describing what they claim are delusional thoughts, their writing becomes weird, and in this case, almost incomprehensible “The patient did have a rectal was a delusion about ready ways in her throat.”
What was unique about this visit, was I had brought the frequency tracer with me into the office, and I used it to show, very clearly, to the doctor, that it was picking up on signals coming from my throat. He observed, and said absolutely nothing about it. He asked no questions about the instrument, what its capabilities were, what it was showing, how I knew that it worked, etc. He made no comment whatsoever, and clearly he said nothing about this in his notes.
This is why I was upset at the end of the visit, after my phone went had also gone missing, and I was handed a summary saying I was delusional and that the problems with my throat were “unremarkable.”
